Dr. Robert F. Graboyes is Senior Healthcare Advisor at the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Washington, DC. His work focuses on health care reform legislation at the federal and state levels. Dr. Graboyes also teaches health economics and finance in masters and doctoral programs at the Virginia Commonwealth University and University of Virginia medical campuses. Previously, he was an economics professor at the University of Richmond, Sub-Saharan Africa economist at Chase Manhattan Bank (New York City) and manager /economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Through his work, Dr. Graboyes has traveled extensively in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, and Western Europe. His degrees are from Columbia University (MPhil, PhD), Virginia Commonwealth University (MSHA), the College of William and Mary (MA), and the University of Virginia (BA). He speaks French, Spanish, and Portuguese and was administrator of a foreign language immersion program at the University of Richmond. In his spare time, Dr. Graboyes performs jazz, Latin, pop, and classical music.
