Director, Energy and Resources Policy

Bryan Brendle serves as the NAM’s Director of Energy and Resources Policy issues, focusing on federal legislation related to expansion of domestic energy supplies and air quality. Prior to joining the NAM in early 2005, Mr. Brendle worked as the Director of Government Relations for the Washington, DC firm of Baise & Miller, representing clients before the Congress and federal agencies primarily on environmental matters. Mr. Brendle has also worked with the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and the Heritage Foundation. A native Texan, Mr. Brendle earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and a Juris Doctor from Mercer Law School in Georgia.
This panel will consist of a discussion with various small business executives concerning current energy policy and its impact on U.S. energy security, the industrial & agriculture sectors, small business and consumers. A CEA representative will also discuss national communications and outreach. The panel serves to provide a good perspective on energy prices and the impact of energy prices on small businesses around the nation. Panelists will also discuss the importance of creating comprehensive energy policy that guarantees secure and affordable energy for small business, agriculture and manufacturers by properly balancing the near-term use of traditional sources, the long-term development of alternatives and improved energy efficiency and conservation.
