Shiv Krishnan founded INDUS Corporation in 1993, following 12 years of public sector and Fortune 500 IT consulting experience. Shiv’s personal commitment to complete customer satisfaction and total employee focus is well known by his employees and valued by his customers. He is a founding board member and the current Chairman-Elect of the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF). Shiv is also a member of the Board of Trustees of George Mason University Foundation, Board of Advisors for the University of Virginia’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies, George Mason University’s School of Management, Board of Governors of the Tower Club, and a past-President of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Shiv has been recognized as a Washington business leader with numerous awards and citations. He was recently recognized as “one of the 20 people we admire in Washington Business” by SmartCEO Magazine for his mentoring activities. He is the 2002 SBA Small Business Person of the Year, 1999 VRSDC Entrepreneur of the Year, a three-time finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year, and among the “Fifty Most Influential Minorities in Business” according to MBPN.
Shiv has held management and engineering positions at AMS and Versar, Inc. He graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and has completed executive business management programs at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
