David H. Ohle

Vice President

Computer Sciences Corporation

Mr. Ohle is vice president and general manager, Army Programs, CSC’s North American Public Sector (NPS)—Defense division. He assumed responsibility for this position June 10, 2002. With this current assignment, he is also the vice president for Strategic Development. Just prior to this assignment, Mr. Ohle was the program executive for the United States Department of Defense’s Integrated Military Human Resources System (DIMHRS) project. Before he joined CSC, Mr. Ohle served two years as vice president, human resources for Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas. Immediately prior to assuming his duties with Shell Oil Company, he retired as a lieutenant general where his last position was deputy chief of staff for personnel for the United States Army in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Mr. Ohle graduated from the United States Military Academy and began his career in the United States Army as an infantry officer. He holds a master’s of arts degree in organizational behavior from Ohio State University. His military experience spans more than 30 years of service at various levels of command and staff positions. He commanded both a platoon and company in combat. Mr. Ohle later served on the faculty at both the United States Military Academy and the National War College in Washington, D.C. He then served as the deputy commandant of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Mr. Ohle was an agent for change as the United States Army transformed from the cold war Army to the post desert storm Army of the 1990’s. As such, he headed two Army-wide study groups. The first, Louisiana Maneuvers, changed the way the Army was organized and fought. The second, Officer Personnel Management System XXI, redesigned the management system for the development of the Army’s officer corps.
