News Media Credentials & Press Badges

  • Media credentials (press badges) for Small Business Week 2010 events will only be issued to working journalists who can produce immediate verification that they are employed, or on assignment with, a legitimate news media outlet.
  • Media registrants must be able to produce an employee ID, a business card with your name and media outlet indicated, or a letter from the organization stating that you have been assigned to represent the organization in an editorial capacity.
  • Qualified news outlets include printed or online publications, news services, broadcast outlets and news Internet sites that meet the following criteria:
  • They are regularly issued and supported by advertising or paid subscription or they are published or funded by nonprofit organizations and operate with editorial independence from any political, governmental, commercial or special interest.
  • Their primary purpose is the dissemination of news.
  • Media credentials (press badges) will not be granted to:
  • Account representatives, sales executives, marketing managers, public relations representatives and the like.
  • Misrepresentation of position and/or publication/media outlet will result in revocation of press credentials.
